Modern Internal Medicine COVID-19 Protocols

Our goal is the safety and health of our patients, their families, and our staff.

Our medical model promotes the use of email, phone, or video to discuss medical issues when preferred by patients.  In-office visits are available when desired or indicated.  We have been fully equipped to discuss medical issues using these modalities since opening in 2018.  Our limited patient panel size and use of multiple modalities to discuss heath issues promotes the highest level of safety for our patients and staff. 

 

We are open for business to address all medical issues with the following guidelines:

Medical concerns will be addressed via email, phone, or video when possible.

Patients visiting the clinic must wear a face mask at all times.

​

Screening will occur upon entering the office for fever and symptoms of COVID-19.

​

Patients should let the office know prior to arriving if any symptoms of COVID-19 are noted.

​

Waiting rooms are closed and patients should check-in via phone from their car upon arrival.

​

Clinical staff will be wearing gloves, facemasks, and eye protection while seeing patients.

​

All exam rooms are thoroughly wiped down after every visit.

​

Testing for COVID-19 will occur based on guidelines from the  Frederick County Health Department.
